The Alberta Recreation & Parks Association (ARPA) continues to provide learning opportunities for our members to to begin or deepen their reconciliation journey. The following sections include videos on: Reconciliation, Elder Teachings, and Reconciliation Pop Ups.
After nearly five years of Grandmothers’ Circles, we’ve reached our 10th circle! Guided by the theme of “Honouring Wisdom”, this circle features 5 Indigenous women Elders who share their unique perspectives on fostering wellness. Honed through a lifetime of experiences, their insights offer invaluable guidance for encouraging holistic health, and demonstrate the importance of intergenerational teachings in fostering community wellness. This event is presented by Communities ChooseWell and Alberta Blue Cross.
