Permanent Full Time Supervisor of Operations and Maintenance
The TLC is seeking a Permanent Full Time Supervisor of Operations and Maintenance. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a passionate leader with trades experience to join our Leadership Team.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Supervisor of Operations and Maintenance will be responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation and supervision of all day-to-day facility operations and maintenance for the TLC. The successful candidate will ensure all projects and initiatives are completed by maintaining compliance to health and safety procedures, legislative requirements and TLC policies and operating procedures. Promotion of the TLC’s corporate culture, values, and vision to both internal and external parties is key in this position.
The Supervisor of Operations and Maintenance will be a proven leader and will demonstrate excellent communication, coaching and mentoring skills. Additional key competencies include exceptional customer service skills, operational and capital budgeting experience, effective project management skills and the ability to multi-task in a busy work environment.
A Journeyman Certificate in plumbing/heating, electrical, carpentry is required, along with 3-5 years of demonstrated supervisory/leadership experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Alberta Association of Recreation Facility Personnel Certificates in the following areas are an asset: Building Maintenance I and II; Arena Operator I and II; Pool Operator I and II; and Arena Maintenance. Prior to commencement of employment, the successful candidate must provide evidence of current Intermediate First Aid certification taken within the last two (2) years, a clear criminal and vulnerable sector check and a 5-year driver’s abstract.
