Conference Theme
For 75 years, the Alberta Recreation & Parks Association has brought people together to support healthy citizens, communities, and environments across Alberta. This year’s Conference & Energize Workshop is more than a celebration; it’s a chance to reflect on the relationships, learning, and shared experiences that have shaped ARPA over the decades.
Throughout our history, one theme has surfaced again and again from those who have been part of ARPA’s journey: the sense of family that has grown through our work together. For many, the conference has been more than a professional gathering. It has been a place to reconnect, share ideas, support one another, and feel part of something larger than ourselves.
The theme of Legacy in Action is more than a moment of celebration. It is a reminder that legacy is active. It is about the work we have done, the insights we have gained, and how we choose to carry that forward together. These efforts have been strengthened by the relationships that connect our members and partners, creating a community that often feels like family.
This theme invites participants to celebrate our shared history and shape the future, turning legacy into intentional action that continues ARPA’s mission.

Note on the Registration Prices
We would like to inform you that the conference price for this year’s event has increased due to the all-inclusive conference experience we offer. The conference registration includes 7 meals from Thursday dinner to Saturday dinner, 44+ session options, 3 keynote speakers, an industry trade show, and several social and networking options.
We understand that price increases can be frustrating, but we believe that the value of this package far outweighs the additional cost. By including all meals, encompassing education options and offering a wide range of social and networking opportunities, we are creating an immersive experience that will enable attendees to fully engage with the conference material and their fellow attendees.
Furthermore, the increased price allows us to provide a high-quality experience that meets the needs of our attendees. We are committed to delivering the best possible conference, and this all-inclusive package is one way we are working to achieve that goal.

Please note that the official conference room block at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge will open at the same time as our event registration. Booking details and the direct reservation link will be shared once registration goes live. Rooms cannot be secured through our group rate prior to that time. Changes to the 2026 Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge booking:
- Booking link only shared once registered for the conference.
- Non-refundable one-night deposit.
- A two-night minimum stay has been placed on the nights of October 22 and 23.
- A 100% non-refundable full stay payment will be processed on September 13, 2026, to avoid a 100% full stay penalty cancellations must be by September 13.

Student Sponsorship

When students sign up, they will be entered into a draw for reimbursement. Quantum Recreation will draw four names from that list and let them know that their conference is reimbursed by Quantum Recreation. They will meet before remotely to introduce themselves and let them know that they are part of the Quantum Recreation Squad, where they can hang out with us, ask us questions and allow Quantum Recreation to help them make connections. They will provide each winner with swag items. During the conference, we will recognize these students who received our sponsorship and all students who are attending.
