The City of Beaumont is looking for six (6) motivated and enthusiastic Summer Program Leaders to join our Recreation Team for Beaumont’s summer programs for children ages 6-13 years from June 26, 2024, until August 23, 2024.
Working under the direction of the Summer Programs Coordinator, the Summer Program Leaders will be responsible for leading/facilitating games and activities in our Summer Camps, and our Summer in the Park program.
What YOU’RE Responsible for:
– Supervising children in a variety of themed summer programs during July and August
– Preparing activities, games, and crafts for children
– Ensuring the safety of the children
– Ensuring that the Summer Programs demonstrates a positive representation of the City of Beaumont
– Ensure adherence to Legislative regulations, Safety Directives and procedures and all respectful workplace standards.
– Other duties as assigned
What YOU Bring:
– Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
– Have prior experience working or interacting with children
– Highly energetic, enthusiastic, and creative
– Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to acquire at own cost)
– Provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector and Child Intervention
– Class 5 Driver’s License is an asset
What WE Offer:
– An hourly rate of $16.88
– Membership to the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre
– Up to 35-hours per week June 26, 2024 through August 23, 2024
