We are currently recruiting for a Permanent, full-time Parks Operator II for our Parks department.
About the Opportunity
The Parks Operator ll is required to operate Parks and Open Spaces related equipment such as the backhoe, skid steer, tool cat, various mowers, and other powered equipment. Plan and coordinate work with other departments and external customers. This position will assist with the supervision of seasonal staff on a seasonal basis or as required by Manager or Leads. Follow the City of Leduc’s OH&S manual with regards to policy, duties and responsibilities. Planning of activities and written reports related to daily activities, as required by supervisor.

Qualifications
You are the successful candidate for this position if you have the following:
• High School diploma
• Landscape / Horticulturist certifications and experience is considered an asset
• Class 3 license with Q endorsement is required
• First aid certification is required
• WHIMIS, TDG, and OH&S certifications is considered an asset
• Certifications for various equipment operations such as tractors, mowers, backhoe, forklift, and skid steer will be required
• Must be willing to provide a current Criminal Records Check at own expense
