Do you have a passion for working with kids? Are you looking for a job where you get to impact the lives of thousands of kids? Do you love movement, music, fitness dance or yoga?
DANCEPL3Y (dance-play) is a fun and high-energy dance program where kids get to PLAY with various styles of dance while developing physical literacy! These award-winning classes feature a mix of dance genres, music styles and creative story lives! Our programs foster positive mental health and build self-esteem though the 3 Rules of PLAY: “Be positive. Be fun. Be yourself!”
PL3Y Education Instructors are responsible for teaching our award-winning DANCEPL3Y curriculum-based program to students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. In-School experiences include one-day dance workshops or week-long “residencies” where each student receives 5 lessons with the instructor.
Our instructors teach DANCEPL3Y in schools, during instructional hours (approx. 8:30am-3:30pm). This is a position for someone who thrives in high-pace work environments and has the energy and enthusiasm to work with hundreds of kids each day.
This is a contractor position role. Ideal candidates have flexible schedules and love working in different locations with different groups of kids each week. If you’re looking for consistent weekly income or a 9-5 job, this is not the role for you.
Applicants must be certified (or willing to get certified) in our foundational DANCEPL3Y Kids course to learn how to teach our pre-set choreography using next-level coaching skills.
**If you are not yet Certified yet but would like to work on our team, we will provide you with a discount code for you to attend a DANCEPL3Y Kids workshop Aug 12-13th 2023 in Edmonton.
Once hired into the PL3Y Education role, instructors will be required to complete a secondary specialized training October 19-21 2023 in Edmonton to learn how to deliver the DANCEPL3Y-Ed in-school curriculum-based lesson plans with groups of 40-80 students.
Note: You do not need to be a trained dancer or yoga instructor for this position – we are looking for someone with passion, who is physically fit and who loves to get active with kids! We will provide you with the training, music, scripts and movements to teach.
