What is the Alberta Healthy Communities Symposium?
The Alberta Healthy Communities Symposium (AHCS), brings together wellness champions from across the province to connect, collaborate, and strengthen community well-being.
Guided by this year’s theme, “Rooted in Community: Nourished Through Connection,” the symposium celebrates the power of relationships and shared purpose in growing healthier, more resilient communities. It’s a space to share ideas, celebrate wins, and reimagine what’s possible when wellness takes root locally, building upon the strengths, stories, and resources that already make our communities thrive.
Through inspiring speakers, interactive sessions, and a holistic focus on well-being, attendees will be inspired to launch, expand, or enhance Healthy Eating and Active Living (HEAL) initiatives that support lasting community vitality.
Communities ChooseWell recognizes and celebrates Alberta’s diversity, from small towns to big cities, every corner has its own story—and AHCS is where those stories meet. Whether your work focuses on grassroots engagement, organizational growth, or systems-level transformation, you’ll leave feeling grounded, encouraged, and connected to a province-wide network of people building thriving, healthy communities.
