Celebrate ARPA's 75th Anniversary

The Alberta Recreation & Parks Association (ARPA) will celebrate its 75th Anniversary in October 2026! Committees are already hard at work planning celebrations, developing communications as well as documenting the history, legacy and stories of ARPA.

We’re collecting historic photos that reflect ARPA’s legacy and the impact we’ve had across Alberta. Whether it’s a shot from a past conference, an old community recreation program, an award ceremony, or a key project your community led — we’d love to see it!

📸 How to Submit Your Photos:

  1. Submit one form per photo to help us collect important details.
  2. Share what you know about the photo (where, when, who, what).
  3. Only have a physical copy? You can digitize it easily — we’ve included helpful tips for Android and iPhone.
  4. Upload your photo and check the box confirming consent for ARPA use.
  5. Have more than one? Just repeat the form for each!

What We’re Looking For:

  • Conference, workshop, and award photos
  • Committees and staff at work
  • Recreation programs, parks, and facilities
  • Reports, initiatives, and milestones from the sector

Important: We are unable to accept physical albums or boxes of photos. Only digital submissions through the form will be reviewed and stored.
