The Day Camp Programmer plans, organizes, implements, and supervises summer day camp programs that provide learning and recreational opportunities for children and early youth in Devon.
This position provides a leadership role to the Day Camp Facilitator and volunteers, as well as capacity building opportunities through collaboration with supervisor and other town staff.

Applicants must be eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs Program funded by the Government of Canada. Eligibility requirements include: must be between 15-30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period and legally entitled to work in Canada. International students are not eligible.
Start Date: May 8, 2023
End Date: August 25, 2023
Hours of work: Typical hours for this position will be Monday to Friday between 8:30am-4:30pm, with possibility of evening or weekend shifts for Town of Devon events. This position requires the ability to work a maximum of 40 hours per week, with modified hours prior to camps starting.
Schedule details: For the month of May and June you will be working out of the town office doing training, skill development, and planning for the camps (20 hours per week in May and 35 hours per week in June). July and August hours will be spent running the day camps (40 hours per week). Day camp staff run the Kid Zone craft tent on July 1.
