Reporting to the Director the Community Recreation Manager is a member of the Sports Development, Wellness and Culture Department. You are responsible for leadership in the area of community development as it pertains to recreation and culture opportunities, community partnerships and their organizational health, as well as identification of issues, gaps, and opportunities as they relate to recreation and culture. You are also responsible for partnerships with internal departments, other municipalities, community groups, and other levels of government departments and agencies. You develop and administer operating and capital budgets as approved by Council. The position acts as a municipal resource relative to community recreation, services, and facilities. It involves considerable engagement with user groups, community organizations, and the general public. The Manager is expected to have considerable independent judgment, action, and initiative.

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm; 40 hours per week. Evening and weekend work will be required for events.
Compensation
F band – $48.36 per hour
You will need to have a class 5 Driver’s License and possess a clean Criminal Record Check.
