Children and Youth Services Team Lead (permanent part-time)
The TLC is seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to fill a permanent part time Children and Youth (CYS) Team Lead position. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a passionate leader with experience with preschool, childcare and/or in a summer camp environment to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Children and Youth Program Coordinator in the overall delivery of Child Minding and Children and Youth programs/services.
The CYS Team Lead will support staff on shift with complex problem solving while ensuring program requirements are maintained/managed. The Team Lead will ensure a safe, caring and stimulating environment for the children and overall quality experiences for our TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre (TLC) customers. The successful candidate will also promote the TLC with friendly, courteous and professional service, as well as offering value-added solutions to meet customer requests. The Team Lead may occasionally be required to work outside of regular departmental hours.
Post-secondary education is preferred in Early Learning, Childcare or a related designation with a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Other desired certifications are the Government of Alberta Early Childhood Educator certification, as well as HIGH FIVE certification and Principals of Healthy Child Development, Sport or other relevant training. AFLCA Ever Active Kids, NCCP Fundamental Movement Skills or related physical literacy training is an asset.
Experience with IntelliLeisure is an asset. Prior to commencement of employment, the successful candidate must provide current Intermediate First Aid certification, taken within the last two (2) years, as well as a clear criminal record/vulnerable sector check.
