About

The Recreation for Life Foundation (RFLF) is a provincial not-for-profit charitable agency that raises funds to support the programs and initiatives of the Alberta Recreation & Parks Association (ARPA).

The Foundation is overseen by a dynamic, voluntary Board of Directors and trusted Honourary Directors who are committed to supporting the efforts of ARPA in fostering the growth of recreation and parks in Alberta

The Recreation for Life Foundation develops funds for:

  • Supporting the development of children and youth programs
  • Greening communities
  • Building healthy, vital communities
  • Developing and recognizing leadership

The Foundation hosts a number of widely-anticipated sector events, including the annual Recreation for Life Foundation Charity Golf Tournament.

The Alberta Recreation & Parks Association would like to acknowledge the First Nations, the Métis, the Inuit and all of the people across Alberta who share a history and a deep connection with this land. We dedicate ourselves to moving forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in the spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
