Job: Graphic Design Associate - City of Leduc

Reporting to the Manager, Business Services, this position will support in the development and design of digital media materials, ensuring professional and consistency to the overall marketing plan and campaigns for Recreation Services.  They will coordinate and administer content on the Leduc Recreation Centre social media platforms, website, LRC app, internal/external digital screens, and all print materials to optimize and actively support the Leduc Recreation Services departmental operations and services.  This position will work closely with the Marketing and Communications Specialist along with other City departments, and other stakeholders for the creation and distribution of communication materials, web design and marketing strategies to reflect the various recreation programs, facility operations and services of the City of Leduc.

The successful candidate will have a diploma in graphic or web design, or in a related field such as marketing or communications, and minimum 2 years’ experience in a graphic design role.  Experience working in a recreation and/or municipal environment and familiarity with facility operations/events planning is an asset.  High proficiency in computer literacy with experience in adobe creative suite, web content management systems, social media, Google AdWords, and MS Office.  Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.  Creative ability with knowledge of layout, graphic design and application to web-based material.  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively.  Knowledge of graphic design and digital media industry trends, developments and opportunities.  The successful candidate will also provide a current Criminal Record Check as part of the hiring process.

$60,824.40 - $76,076.00 / annum
