Recognizing Recreation and Parks Excellence
Alberta's recreation and parks community has developed awards and scholarships that honour the leadership of its communities, organizations, volunteers, professionals and the businesses. These awards acknowledge outstanding contributions to community building that advance the values and beliefs of not only ARPA, but also the Recreation for Life Foundation, the Ministry, and other partners. |ARPA Awards||The Alberta Recreation and Parks Association's awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals, groups, agencies and communities whose contributions to recreation and parks have greatly enhanced the quality of life of Albertans.||Closed|
|ARPA Scholarships||ARPA is committed to the development of the recreation and parks sector's budding practitioners, offering three scholarships to post-secondary students enrolled in recreation and parks-related programs.||Closed|
|Lieutenant Governor's Awards||The Lieutenant Governor’s Leadership for Active Communities Awards recognize the achievements of the groups and individuals who are leading their communities in strategic change that increases citizen participation in active living, recreation and sport resulting in healthier people and communities.||Closed|
|Alberta Recreation Volunteer Recognition Awards||
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism annually recognizes four volunteers who, through their volunteer commitment and dedication, have significantly enhanced the development of recreation in Alberta.
