Overview

Sogo Active is a program created for one reason: to help youth challenge themselves and their friends to get moving.

Sogo Active, a program created from the collaboration between ParticipACTION, Coca Cola and an advisory committee of youth, aims to inspire Canadians aged 13-19 to become more active. Striving to eliminate the inactivity crisis that is plaguing Canada, Sogo Active helps youth to take initiative and identify creative, exciting ways to add daily activity into their lives.

The Alberta Recreation and Parks Association has been a Provincial and Territorial Coordinator for Sogo Active in the province of Alberta since 2008. The organization acts as a liaison between provincial Community Hosts and ParticipACTION, accepting grant applications and assisting with promotion of the Sogo Active program and associated contests across the province.
